The Open Consumables Project (OFP) is a cooperative project between Raise3D and major global consumables manufacturers, providing more consumables choices for users of Rase3D printers worldwide.
Raise3D is designed to ensure a high degree of material compatibility. However, compatibility does not mean optimal performance. Therefore, for best performance, FFF printing processes (such as those used by the Raise3D printer) may require specific print settings. Today, there are more than 100 consumable manufacturers on the market that can provide high-quality products,. At the same time, open-source third-party materials are uneven, and the cost of trial and error for customers is very high, which is more suitable for DIY players, but the requirements for industrial stability are far from the same. This gave birth to the OFP project. Through cooperation with the wire rod field, it was tested whether the wire rods and the Raise equipment that had been or would be put into the market were perfectly compatible. By adjusting the printing parameters, it was made sure that these wires could produce high-quality products. Now more than 50 brands and hundreds of wire rods have joined the OFP project.
While expanding the selection of materials, it will reduce the difficulty of users in the future, especially for users with selection disorders. Therefore, in the OFP project, engineers have studied and studied wire products and print clients, used the functions of materials themselves and combined with application scenarios to classify materials into general use, industrial manufacturing use and special use, so as to help customers better understand and select materials.
OFP manufacturers are both experts in materials and materials applications. We will earnestly solicit their opinions to make production closer to functional application and industrial production. In addition, some innovative enterprises among them can also give us some directional suggestions and work with us to layout future applications, such as food safety, medical level contact safety and antibacterial materials we are currently exposed to. It will also gradually improve the white papers, print cases and print instructions, so that users can reduce learning costs. OFP will also appear on the material selection page, giving customers more choices. At the same time, a print material library is established. The print parameters and characteristics of OFP materials can be viewed. Users can also compare the performance of each representative material.
The material alliance project is Ultimaker’s cooperation with material companies around the world, making Ultimaker Marketplace a more powerful tool for professionals to adapt more materials, so that users can easily obtain perfect results. By sharing special testing software with material engineers, these cooperative companies can create optimized 3D printing profiles for their industrial grade materials, which can be used in Ultimaker Cura software. End users can install these print profiles directly from the Ultimaker Marketplace with the click of a button. To start using these preconfigured files, you only need to select and load the selected materials in Ultimaker Cura to enjoy a reliable and seamless 3D printing experience without spending time trying to set parameters. In this way, engineers and designers can focus on designing the best 3D printing parts and using the most advanced 3D printing materials on the market.
Advanced materials from world leading material companies are widely used in more professional 3D printing applications. Engineers and designers rely on desktop level 3D printing to help create better products, with faster development cycles and lower costs. No matter what the project is, it needs a professional 3D printing solution, which is reliable, easy to use and widely used, and can produce parts with the required performance. The more materials that can be printed, the more properties the printer can have. For example, it can withstand greater strength, heat resistance or flexibility, which means that you can do more with 3D printers. Ultimaker printer has always been an open platform, allowing the use of multiple materials.
INTAMSYS Customer Application Empowerment Program (CAEP) is to better meet the needs of the market and customers. INTAMSYS 3D printing cooperates with mainstream material manufacturers in the market to give full play to the characteristics of materials through continuous testing and comparison.
Customers can achieve the desired 3D printing effect by presetting 3D printer parameters. This can not only optimize the settings of 3D printing materials for a large number of manufacturers, but also enable customers to obtain high-precision 3D printing quality.
